My career may look straightforward on paper, but behind every milestone is a story of resilience, faith, and rediscovering what truly matters. After loss reshaped
my perspective, I made it my mission to build a life filled with purpose, family, and passion—not just a living. Real estate became my way to help others do the same.
I earned my real estate license in 2014—almost by accident. At the time, I was managing a luxury property in a booming area of Las Vegas. The energy of the city was electric, and I loved being part of its growth. But when the property changed ownership, everything changed with it. Suddenly, I was told to either get my real estate license and start selling the condos—or lose my job.
Looking back, that moment was a blessing in disguise. I became an on-site REALTOR®, strategically selling and remodeling units and discovered a passion for helping people find the right home along the way. What started as a career detour became my calling.
My love for homes began long before my real estate career. After moving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, I attended college and began studying architectural design, dreaming of one day becoming an architect. At the time, my husband was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and later joined law enforcement here in Las Vegas. As a young couple navigating real life, I needed a job to help pay for school, which led me into property management.
What started as a practical decision quickly became a defining chapter of my career. I oversaw more than 3,500 units, managing everything from rent collection and maintenance to staffing and operations. Over time, I advanced quickly, eventually becoming a regional manager supervising properties across multiple states. I was proud of how far I had come. Around that same time, my husband and I purchased our first home and began growing our family, welcoming our two boys, Blake and Brayden. Life felt full and fast-moving—until tragedy shifted everything.

When my sister, Susie, passed away from cancer at just 33, my world stopped. Loss has a way of reshaping your priorities. I still wanted success, but I realized I wanted a life, too—not one that was passing me by while I stayed busy chasing the next milestone.
I grew up in a Latino neighborhood, raised by my mom and aunt, where we had very little. From a young age, I dreamed of giving my children opportunities I never had—travel, experiences, freedom. But I also came to recognize that I was working nonstop, and in doing so, I was missing the very moments I was working so hard for.
Before my sister passed, she left me with simple but powerful advice: enjoy the little things and don’t take life too seriously. From that moment on, family, faith, and fulfillment became my guiding priorities. While losing her was one of the greatest losses of my life, I was surrounded by strong women—the ones who raised me—faith-filled, resilient, and unwavering in their support. They reminded me that I was capable of anything and taught me that true courage comes from love, not fear.
Today, I live unapologetically as myself. I believe we only get one life, so when something excites me, I go after it. That looks like traveling with my family to a new country each year, running our seasonal family business, Pumpkin Patch to Door, and teaching our boys that entrepreneurship is about taking ideas and turning them into something meaningful.
Faith is my foundation, and serving others keeps me grounded. I enjoy volunteering through my church, community and outreach events. My husband and I have been married nearly 20 years, we find our life currently filled with baseball game schedules for the boys, snowboarding and ski trips during the winter months, watching documentaries with our dog Bravo at our side but overall just experiencing life together. I’m truly grateful for it all.
Most recently, I’ve developed a deep passion for ADUs (also known as “casitas”) studying how they can transform the way families live, co-exist, and invest together. Integrating that knowledge into my real estate career has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to help clients create opportunities for income, flexibility, and multigenerational living.
With over 15 years of experience, and having sold over $90 million in real estate, I’ve had the opportunity to work across every side of the business—from residential and investment properties to new developments and ADU projects that are changing how families live in Las Vegas. I’m currently the only REALTOR® in Nevada with an ADU designation, which allows me to guide homeowners through the entire process of building or buying a property with a casita, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
I take this work personally. Buying a home is often the biggest financial decision someone will make, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I’m especially passionate about helping first-time buyers who feel homeownership is out of reach—because I’ve been there myself. As the first homeowner in my family, I understand just how life-changing that step can be.
My business is built almost entirely on referrals, something I’m incredibly proud of. Clients trust me because I lead with honesty, transparency, and genuine care. My goal isn’t just to close a deal—it’s to help families create stability, opportunity, and long-term generational wealth.
Sincerely,

Darcy Barajas
